Players will leave camp with a wide variety of improved individual skills. Additionally, they will learn important concepts for team defense, team offense and the transition game.  The Jesuit lacrosse camps are designed to give young athletes the opportunity to work hard and improve in a fun atmosphere while learning from proven high school coaches and players. Camp is designed for players ages 6-14 (Rising 9th grades coming to Jesuit are eligible to attend). .
 
This camp will focus on developing the following skills:
• Shooting
• Ground Balls 
• Defense (Team and Individual) 
• Fast Breaks 
• Dodging
• Stick Skills 
• Triangle Offense 
• Clears
• Face-Off and Wing Play 
• Man Up, Man Down
 
Tentative Schedule:

Morning Session:
Offensive Skill Work: Passing, Catching, Shooting, Ground Balls and Dodging
Defensive Skill Work: Footwork, Communication, Stick Drills, Ground Balls and Positioning
Goalie Skill Work: Hand Eye Coordination, Shot Reaction, Live Shots, Positioning

Afternoon Session:
Transition Offense VS Transition Defense
Small Games: 1v1, 2v2, 3v3, 4v4

Camp Director:

Charlie Cummins, Jesuit's Head Lacrosse Coach
Coach Cummins was named Jesuit's head lacrosse coach in 2019. Prior to taking over as head coach, he spent 6 years as Jesuit's head assistant coach and defensive coordinator.  He brings with him great charism and high knowledge of the game.   

He helped lead the team to two district championships and two regional championships.  He has helped coach the two most successful seasons in Jesuit Lacrosse history.  He has learned from the some of the great coaches the game has to offer such as Kevin Dugan, a former University of Notre Dame coach and alum, Rory Whipple, University of Tampa coach, and  Ryan Henry, former Jesuit Tampa coach. 

Coach Cummins played high school lacrosse at Penfield HS in NY.  There he was 2013 US Lacrosse All-American, 2013 All-Greater Rochester Lacrosse Player of the Year, and 2013 PHS Player of the Year.  He then went on to play collegiately at the University of Tampa. 

He was 4 year Varsity Lacrosse Player. 

Captain his senior year. 

3 time First Team All- Conference 

Camp Staff:
Assisting Coach Cummins will be members of the Jesuit High School coaching
staff, present Jesuit lacrosse players, and Jesuit lacrosse alumni.
 
What to Bring:
• Wear comfortable athletic clothing and bring lacrosse equipment (stick, helmet, pads)
• Bring tennis shoes, water jug, and sunscreen
• Campers MUST bring their own lunch, lunch service will NOT be provided 
* Snacks and cold drinks will be available for purchase at the concession stand, cash           only  
• Please no jewelry or hats.
 
Refund Policy:
Cancellations must be made 7 days prior to the 1st day of camp will receive a refund of $200. Cancellations made less than 7 days from the 1st day of camp will receive a refund of $100. Once the camp has begun, there are no refunds.
 
Facilities:
All camps will be held at Jesuit High School on the outside playing fields.
